I grew up with more obstacles than opportunities.
School was often the only place that felt safe. I know what it’s like to struggle in class, question your worth, and wonder if anyone believes in you. That’s why I speak to students in Title I schools, because I see myself in them.
I’m a first-generation college graduate and a forever learner. Education changed my life, and the right mentors helped me break barriers I thought were permanent. Every student deserves to see someone who’s been through the fire stand in front of them and say: You can make it. Because you can. I’ve buried a child. I know pain, love, and the urgency of purpose. I’m not just a speaker, I’m a father and a mentor with a mission to pour into the next generation.
